Some cases require more than a strong defense. They require a different way of thinking.
Adam Bobkin helps insurers, corporations, and trial counsel solve the legal and strategic challenges that often determine the outcome of high exposure litigation. Rather than approaching every case the same way, Adam focuses on identifying the legal arguments, evidentiary issues, and strategic opportunities that can reshape the course of a case.
His practice centers on catastrophic personal injury, medical malpractice, and other complex civil litigation, where exposure often turns on more than the underlying facts. Adam works with trial teams throughout the country to analyze difficult damages issues, preserve critical appellate arguments, evaluate evolving legal questions, and develop litigation strategies tailored to the unique challenges of each case.
A significant portion of Adam's practice is devoted to damages mitigation. He develops strategies for challenging life care plans, future medical expense claims, and other complex damages theories through targeted discovery, expert development, and sophisticated motion practice. He regularly analyzes collateral source issues and other legal questions that can significantly affect the value of catastrophic injury claims.
Adam is also a key member of the firm's Litigation Strategy and Trial Monitoring teams. He partners with trial counsel nationwide, providing real time analysis during trial, identifying evidentiary issues, preserving appellate arguments, assisting with jury instructions, and helping clients make informed strategic decisions as cases unfold.
Before joining Mauro Lilling Naparty LLP, Adam represented plaintiffs in complex commercial litigation involving securities disputes, consumer class actions, privacy litigation, and appeals. That experience provides him with valuable insight into how significant claims are investigated, developed, and presented, allowing him to anticipate opposing strategies and build stronger defenses for his clients.
Prior to practicing law, Adam worked in commercial finance, where he analyzed and closed multimillion dollar lending transactions for businesses and real estate investors throughout the United States. His background in finance continues to shape his analytical approach to evaluating damages, economic loss claims, and complex financial issues in litigation.
Adam earned his Juris Doctor from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, where he won the school's Spring 1L Moot Court Competition and earned a position on Hofstra's Moot Court Board, competing internationally in Vienna, Austria. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration, magna cum laude, from Baruch College, majoring in Finance and Investments with a minor in Economics.
Adam is admitted to practice in the State of New York and before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
